Air Corsica pilots strike, 9–12 Oct 2026: how to claim compensation now
What changed: The pilots ended the strike on 12 October.
Strike notice by the SNPL and SPAC pilot unions, the first in Air Corsica's history. Flights between Corsica (Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi, Figari) and mainland France may be cancelled. Check your flight the day before.
Flights should be back to normal. If your flight was cancelled or arrived 3+ hours late during the strike, you can still claim: you have years to do it, not days.
This strike is by the airline's own staff. Since EU Court ruling C-28/20, that does not count as an extraordinary circumstance: if your flight is cancelled or 3+ hours late, you are usually owed €250–€600.
Check my flightIf you fly that day
- Before: check your flight status the evening before and that morning. If the airline cancels, choose between a refund and a new flight; you don't have to accept a voucher.
- At the airport: ask for meal vouchers after 2 hours and a hotel if you are stuck overnight. Photograph the departures board.
- After: keep every receipt, then check what you are owed below. Your bank card insurance may pay too.
