How the site makes money
Missing Plane is free to use. It is paid for in two ways:
- Affiliate links. Some buttons lead to partner services (flight claim companies such as Compensair or AirHelp, hotel booking sites, travel protection). If you use them, we may receive a commission. You pay the same price. These links are marked as sponsored in the page code and labelled "affiliate" on our comparison.
- Advertising, once enabled, shown by Google AdSense.
Commissions never decide what we recommend. The comparison is ranked by what you receive, and always shows first the free option of claiming yourself.
Information, not legal advice
Missing Plane is not a law firm, a claim company or an airline. Amounts are estimates under EU Regulation 261/2004 and its UK version; the outcome of a claim depends on the full facts of the flight. Flight data comes from third-party sources and can contain errors. We correct mistakes as soon as we learn about them: write to the address above.
Privacy policy
We collect as little as possible. There are no accounts and no user profiles.

Cookies and advertising
Pages load a script from Travelpayouts, the platform that manages our partner programmes. It is used to check that partner links come from this site. When you click a partner link, the partner may record that the visit came from us so it can pay a commission.
The site itself sets no tracking cookies; a few preferences (such as a ticked checklist) stay in your own browser. Fonts are served from our server. If advertising is shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads. Visitors in the EU and UK are asked for consent first, and can change their choice at any time.

Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, by writing to the address above. Every alert email also has an unsubscribe link. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your national data protection authority.
