Missing Plane
About

About & disclosure

Missing Plane helps air passengers find out whether a delayed, cancelled or overbooked flight entitles them to compensation, and how much they would really keep. A robot reads airport departure data several times a day and lists flights that ran 3 or more hours late or were cancelled.

Who writes it

Guides and reports are written by Jules Aubry. The publisher's details are on the legal notice page. About the author · Legal notice · hello@missingplane.com

How we check facts

Every rule we state comes from the text of EU Regulation 261/2004, its UK version, or a court ruling we name. Claim service fees are taken from each company's own pages or a named source, with the date we checked. When something changes, such as the 2026 reform, we update the page and its date.

How we make money

Some buttons lead to partner services, such as flight claim companies, airport hotels and travel protection. If you use them, we may earn a commission. You pay the same either way. Our comparison is ranked by what you receive, and always shows the free option of claiming yourself first.

Accuracy

Amounts are estimates under EU Regulation 261/2004 and the UK's retained version. Flight data comes from third-party sources and can contain errors. This site is general information, not legal advice.

Privacy

The compensation check runs in your browser; we don't store what you enter. If you sign up for alerts, we keep your email address only to send them, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We count clicks on partner links without identifying you. Fonts are served from our own server. If advertising is shown, our ad partner may use cookies after asking your consent.
